Geomatics: Civil Engineering Surveyors
In Binnie’s Geomatics Group, the strength of our work is based on the quality of civil engineering surveyors we employ and the quality of the technology we use.
We have been providing survey services in British Columbia for 48 years, and have built an excellent reputation for delivering work on time and on budget using a range of best-fit technology and solutions.
Geomatics engineering is the integration of a number of tools and technology to model, analyze and manage data that is identified through location(s). We use a Global Positioning System (GPS) as a tool to navigate locations precisely; the GPS uses signals from satellites orbiting the earth and provides land positioning and positioning on and under water (hydrography).
With access to state of the art geographic information systems, we provide highly accurate data for use in land development and infrastructure building. But land surveying is not only about the tools and technology we use, it is also about the people who are using those tools to collect, analyze, interpret and manage the data. We have an experienced and dedicated team of civil engineering surveyors who do the work on the ground, and sometimes in the ground (in ditches).
For remote, or difficult to access terrain, we use drones, access satellite sensors, and use aircraft when necessary. We provide both geometric and radiometric analysis of digital images for mapping. Geomatics engineering is developing at a rapid pace and we ensure that our employees receive the best training and tools to do the best job for you.
Binnie provides Geomatics engineering services across British Columbia and works closely with our clients to turn around work accurately, efficiently and quickly.
