Annual Golf Tournament Supports Kids in Langley
August 25, 2016
Binnie golfers raise funds for an organization that works with special needs children in Langley, BC.
On Saturday, August 20th, 144 golfers attended Binnie’s Annual Golf Tournament at Newlands Golf & Country Club in Langley. As a way to raise money for charity, mulligans were sold to the golfers who wished to re-do a shot on the course. Nearly all golfers opted to purchase mulligans and Binnie matched their donations. As the tournament was held in Langley, the organizers decided to donate the funds to a local organization.
The Langley Child Development Centre was founded in 1975 and supports Langley children and youth with special needs. The centre works with children from birth to 19 years of age. Binnie was honoured by the centre which posted this message on their Facebook page:
On behalf of the children and families receiving services from Langley Child Development Centre, a huge thank you to R.F. Binnie & Associates for your kind and generous donation from your annual golf tournament. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of community minded businesses such as yours.
