We are pleased to announce that Binnie has been selected as one of BC’s Top Employers for the second year running.
This competition is a specialty category of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, run by MediaCorp. Binnie has been selected as one of 65 BC organizations in this category.
The competition reviews a variety of aspects that are important to employees, including: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
Some of the reasons Binnie was selected for the 2016 award are:
- Binnie is employee-owned and managed, and lets everyone share in the fruits of their labours through a profit-sharing program
- Binnie’s charitable giving program enables employees to participate in the selection of charities supported by the firm and paid time off to mentor local high school students
- Binnie encourages employees to balance work and personal lives with flexible work hours, shortened and compressed work weeks and a telecommuting option — and maintains telecommuter workstations for employees when working in the office
