On February 23, 2022, our staff across 6 different offices rallied together in support of Pink Shirt Day. Staff wore pink shirts while also accessorizing in pink to support and raise awareness against bullying and workplace harassment.

For each act of staff support, we promised to donate $10. The results are in and over 60 staff participated this year!

In turn, we are proudly donating $600 to the CKNW Kids’ Fund. 100% of the net proceeds are distributed to various organizations that support children’s healthy self-esteem, both with their peers and themselves. They teach empathy, compassion and kindness.

We are always looking for ways to get involved in the community, and Pink Shirt Day is such a wonderful opportunity to support our core values – people and community.

About Pink Shirt Day

The original event was organized by David Shepherd and Travis Price of Berwick, Nova Scotia who in 2007 bought and distributed 50 pink shirts after a ninth grade student, Charles McNeill, was bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school.
