Three members of Binnie’s professional engineering team have been chosen to represent BC’s consulting industry. At ACEC-BC‘s recent Annual General Meeting, a new Board of Directors was elected. Among the representatives were Binnie’s Richard Bush, Maurizio Ponzini, and David Marchand.

Maurizio Ponzini is a shareholder and Binnie’s Transportation Group Manager. He oversees our Highway Design, Traffic Engineering, and Major Projects Divisions. Last week, Maurizio was elected as co-Chair for the ACEC-BC/Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Joint Liaison Committee.

Richard Bush, a new Board Member on the ACEC-BC Board of Directors, is a shareholder, and our Project Services Division Manager. Richard has been with Binnie for over 15 years, and has worked in all aspects of our business. He is now responsible for 30 busy Project Managers.

I am excited to represent Binnie on the ACEC-BC Board and look forward to working with other professionals to represent the consulting industry. ACEC-BC is such a great organization, and I recommend others get involved – it’s a very rewarding experience.

David Marchand is the new ACEC-BC Young Professionals Group Provincial Chair. He is one of Binnie’s exceptional young Project Managers, and works with municipal and private clients in our Development and Infrastructure Division.

In addition to Richard, Maurizio, and David’s elected positions, one of our Prince George EITs, Robert Mankowske, volunteers as Outreach Coordinator with the ACEC-BC Young Professionals Group’s new Northern Region Subcommittee.

We are committed to the advancement of the consulting industry, and are proud of our engineers for contributing to its direction and advocacy in the coming years.
