As part of the traditional territory that was never ceded by Musqueam First Nation, the parcel of land known as Block F was returned to Musqueam in 2008. This parcel of freehold land was part of a larger agreement between Musqueam and the Province of British Columbia, the 2008 Musqueam Reconciliation, Settlement and Benefits Agreement.
Musqueam Indian Band, through the Musqueam Capital Corporation, intends to modify the zoning entitlements to provide a wider range of land uses including a small commercial village and higher density residential forms. The project includes a substantial park dedication and wetland improvements.
