Translink required full infrastructure upgrades to accommodate the articulated RapidBuses. This was a challenging project given the numerous sites and time of year for construction.
Despite these challenges, Binnie’s project management team worked hard to provide solutions that ensured roads and bus stops could accommodate the longer articulated buses while updating signage requirements.
These updates included designing and installing new bus stop ID poles with real-time information as well as installing all the new route signage for digital display posts.
The Binnie project management team worked with many groups at TransLink and external stakeholders to achieve the launch date and meet the project objectives which also included aiding with the rebranding of all the wayfinding signage throughout all stations and transit centers for this new service.
