The City of Port Coquitlam retained Binnie to help renovate an existing synthetic turf play field at Gates Park, the one of the City’s major athletic parks.  Gates Turf #2 play field is well used by many local youth, adult, and school sports groups. After showing some significant wear, field renovations for this facility were identified as a top priority in the 2019 Sports Field Assessment report.  Renovations included addressing surface grades, drainage issues, installation of new turf surfacing, infill material, underlay and new field markings to include lacrosse as well as soccer.
