On this World Creativity and Innovation Day, we have a reason to celebrate: our team is proudly committing to $100,000 to Geering Up Engineering Outreach, the largest corporate donation to Geering Up to date.

This gift means that over 2,000 youth and teachers will be empowered to use engineering and STEM skills to tackle the biggest challenges of our times – and make the world a better place. This corporate donation will be donated over the course of 5 years.

UBC Geering Up Engineering Outreach is on a mission to provide the youth of British Columbia with the opportunity to investigate engineering, science, and technology in a fun, educational and safe environment.

Our CAO, Scott Campbell, says, “Our long-term funding commitment with UBC’s Geering Up program will support greater diversity in STEM education, particularly supporting girls and Indigenous youth to discover their passion for STEM and become future technologists and engineers.”

Creativity and innovation are essential to problem-solving, and these skills are needed now more than ever. We are proud to be part of the efforts like these to shape the future of the STEM industry.
