Binnie & Associates takes a thoughtful approach when employees are called upon to care for their loved ones, offering compassionate leave to 90 per cent of salary for up to six weeks — the company’s time off policies also ensure that employees can book time for appointments and personal reasons
  • Along with maternity and parental leave top-up, R.F. Binnie & Associates’ intranet (aka Bintranet) provides a variety of online resources for parents — the organization also supports an employee resource group called “Binnie Babies” that helps bring new parents together to share their experiences and resources

About the Competition 

Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
