Binnie offices have re-opened for a “limited return to office.” Staff entering the office are required to fill out a daily COVID-19 self-assessment, maintain physical distancing, and follow hand hygiene recommendations.

During this phase, our team remains dedicated to servicing our clients’ projects from either our offices or their remote work locations. At this time, no guests or in-person meetings will be held in our offices.

We continue to follow the precautions and recommendations from BC Centre for Disease Control and WorkSafeBC.

Please contact your Project Manager if you require any further information on our safety or work operations during COVID-19.

MARCH 24, 2020

The health and safety of our employees and our community is our top priority.

Effective immediately, all Binnie offices will be temporarily closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our staff are working remotely to continue to support our business operations and clients.

Project Support:
Clients can continue to reach our staff by email, Skype, Teams, telephone, or cell phone. For project inquiries, please reach out to your Binnie Project Manager who will continue to work with you for project deliverables.

Mail will continue to be received at our different office locations. We are unable to receive courier deliveries at this time, as we do not have any staff at our offices to accept/sign for packages. To improve the timeliness of communications, please use email wherever possible. Please reach out to your Binnie contact or Project Manager to work out the necessary arrangements for sending any packages.

Accounts Receivable:
Please reach out to your Binnie Project Manager or Billing Coordinator regarding any billing inquiries. We value your business and appreciate your continued support and payment for services. Let us know if there is any way to assist you with transitioning from cheque payments to EFT.

Accounts Payable:
Please continue to send any invoices through to your Binnie contact to coordinate approval and payment.

Dear valued clients, partners, and industry colleagues:

There is understandable concern around COVID-19 in our communities. As this challenging situation continues to evolve, we want to reach out and keep you informed of Binnie’s response and actions to protect the wellbeing of our staff while supporting business continuity for our clients.

The health and safety of our employees, families, and community is our top priority. Binnie is following the recommendations from the Provincial and Federal Governments by taking the necessary measures to protect staff and minimize the spread of the virus in our workplace. Any employees with symptoms or who have travelled out of the country are required to follow the 14-day self-quarantine procedures implemented by government health care professionals. Additionally, we have cancelled participation in external conferences or events and employees are asked to limit their work engagements to remote interactions.

Our dedicated team remains focused on continuing to support our clients and the success of their projects, and we will continue to work closely with you through this unprecedented time. We have implemented a program and infrastructure that allow staff to effectively carry out their work remotely. Regardless of their physical location, our staff are still working to ensure our business processes and services to clients continue to operate effectively.

We are grateful for the tremendous work of all the front-line healthcare and community workers that continue to support us through this difficult time, and our thoughts are with those who have been impacted by the COVID-19 virus.

We will continue to post any updates regarding our operations here on our website. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your colleague at Binnie who can provide any additional information required.

Stay safe, healthy, and support each other.

Michael Richardson, P.Eng.
