Binnie hosted a sponsored activity at the 21st Annual RecreOpen Golf Tournament at the Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey. Attended by over 145 golfers, the charity tournament is held every year to raise funds for the Recreation Foundation of BC. The foundation distributes grants to not-for-profit community groups in the areas of parks, recreation, culture, education and the environment.
Golfers teeing up at Hole 7 were invited to spin the Binnie prize wheel where they won prizes ranging from Binnie golf hats, golf merchandise, and BC Lotto Tickets. The prize wheel was manned by Binnie Senior Associate, Catherine Eiswerth, and her two university student assistants, Jessica Josan and Danica Eiswerth. Catherine manages Binnie’s Landscape Architecture, Sports and Recreation Division and has completed over 200 sports facility projects in BC.
The RecreOpen Golf Tournament was a great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day on the course and, most importantly, to support the Recreation Foundation of BC, a charity Binnie has sponsored for several years. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of the golfers at Hole 7 where everyone was a winner!
