Each year, Canada’s Top Employers for Young People awards 100 companies across the nation with the recognition of being an exceptional place to work for young people. The Globe and Mail publishes the editorial each year with the full list of top employers, and what makes them such remarkable companies for young people to work for. According to MediaCorp Canada Inc. – who organizes the annual competition – “the trend is organizations trying to connect young people with a sense of purpose.” Binnie is proud to foster such an environment.

Among other criteria, selection is based on co-op and work-study opportunities, in-house training and mentorship, career advancement opportunities, and competitive salaries and benefits. We are proud to be a place where people can facilitate their careers and benefit from the guidance of those with years of experience in engineering.

This year, Canada’s Top 100 noted:

We see training and mentoring that’s more collaborative, crossing different departments and bringing groups of employees together to brainstorm on how they can impact the organization.

Binnie Young Professionals are a growing force in the company. The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) was formed to bring together Binnie’s YPs in an organized forum. They assist in the company’s continued success in being recognized as an employer of choice for new and recent graduates, providing a space where YPs can express their opinions, suggestions, and concerns with one another. The Binnie YPC is an organized group, who target specific social and professional development events each year, and encourage member participation in industry associations.
