For the second year in a row, Binnie has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.

First published in 2002, Canada’s Top Employers for Young People recognizes the employers that offer the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers. The competition reviews a variety of programs that are important to young Canadians, including:

• Benefits such as tuition assistance, vacation and paid time off
• Availability of co-op or work-study programs
• Work atmosphere and social functions
• Mentorship and training
• Career advancement opportunities

Binnie’s Mentoring Program
Binnie has a Mentoring Program which is open to all staff. We have participants at the junior, intermediate, and senior levels and offer Mentoring Information Sessions to staff who are interested in participating. Land Development Engineer, Geneve started at Binnie after graduating from the UBC Civil Engineering program and has since completed the Engineer in Training program and received her Professional Engineer designation:

I joined the mentoring program when I first started at Binnie. My Mentor shared his experiences of his career path, growth and development over the years with me and we would set goals to stay on track for my own career development. I found it very beneficial and rewarding to have someone who has been through the path to give me pointers and direction over the past few years.
