Binnie has been chosen by IBI Group to provide Legal Survey and Civil Engineering for the planning stage of the new St. Paul’s Hospital, which is to be located near the Main Street SkyTrain Station in Vancouver, BC.
Following their development of the master plan in 1999 with Henriquez Partners, IBI Group was selected by hospital owner, Providence Health Care, to carry out the planning of the existing St. Paul’s site and the future, 18-acre hospital campus site.
Legal Surveyor and Principal of Binnie Land Surveying Ltd., Roland Bircher, conducted legal survey at both the existing hospital site on Burrard Street and the proposed site on Station Street. Senior Engineer, Ken Fung, led an assessment of the existing site services and confirmed the required improvements for both sites.
Binnie has ample experience providing civil engineering for hospital developments – including the Royal Columbian in New Westminster, BC Women’s Hospital, BC Children’s Hospital, Royal Jubilee in Victoria, and the Jim Pattison Emergency Centre in North Vancouver.
