Binnie (Omni Engineering Inc.) successfully designed and implemented a comprehensive water management system to operate Lafarge’s new Inner Harbor Batch Plant and its construction. The system includes collection, transport, sampling & treatment of process and stormwater.
By effectively collecting and treating process and stormwater, this Batch Plant maintains its conformance with the BC Code of Practice for Concrete Plants and continually uses recovered water for its concrete production. We’ve found that using a composite sampler for sampling discharge from the site is more representative of the overall water quality rather than sampling individually at opportune times.
