Binnie staff recently participated in a tour of local projects led by Gabriene Kaechele, P.Eng, on the Wild West Coast of Vancouver Island. The tour began at Pacific Sands Resort in Tofino, where Gabriene is managing a servicing study, in collaboration with Sudarshinee Ranawaka, P.Eng, and Brad Gilmore. The study will inform future upgrades at the resort.
The group then visited Kennedy Hill on Highway 4 to observe the completed rock cuts and highway construction works, which were supervised and managed by Binnie through its Construction Supervision and Project Management services.
The tour continued in Ucluelet, where construction of a new food bank facility is underway. Gabriene led the site servicing designs, with support from Mia Kim. The final stop was at the docks, where the team viewed the site for an upcoming project: the conceptual site servicing design for a new housing development for the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government – Ucluelet First Nation.
